Tim Converse, Engineering Manager for Content Classification of Yahoo! Search Technology will be talking about Yahoo!’s Quality Guidelines and providing helpful advice to webmasters on the GoodKarma show this Thursday at 4pm Eastern Time.

An oversimplified explanation of Content Classification is that it is the algorithmic detection of spam and grouping of documents.  To learn more you can read this interview Tim did on the Yahoo! Search blog in 2004.  As always if there is any extra we’ll be taking live questions from the www.WebmasterRadio.fm chatroom and for the people that can’t listen to it live, the podcast will be available in the Good Karma archive.

  1. Dave Dugdale spoke:

I could not locate the show on the webmaster radio and site and your site.

Does it take a while for the production crew to finish it up?

  2. Greg Niland spoke:

The archvie for the GoodKarma show is here http://www.webmasterradio.fm/episodes/index.php?showId=35. In general the producers try their best to get the show uploaded into the archive within 1-2 business days. I expect Tim’s chat to be available later today.
