Cocoa Fudge Cake

Cocoa Fudge Cake Recipe

  • 1 and 2/3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 2/3 cup of cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of shortening
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • 2 eggs

Stir the vinegar into the milk as a substitute for buttermilk. Beat all ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds. Then beat the ingredients on high speed for 3 minutes. Pour the batter into a greased rectangular pan 13×9 or two 8” round pans. Bake in a 350 oven for about 35 to 40 minutes.
