Did you know Pepsi Jazz and Mac laptop keyboards don't mix? Seriously, how long does one have to live in NYC to begin to call themselves a cityboy? Do you get extra credit for graduating from Columbia or NYU? Is proximity of hometown factored in or is it a one to one ratio, years in city balanced by years growing up near city?

Regardless, the lights sound nice. One of the bad things about being overseas is there is an appalling lack of Christmas lights. The housing here is too small for any real good displays. However, I have to hand it to the Japanese, there have been some rather entertaining Christmas displays.

The only time i have seen blue and white was at jewish homes. But nope, these are good christians. The blue and white is for the virgin mary. They think all the homes with blue lights are celebrating the virign mary. I think they had a bit too sheltered a childhood if they honestly think that. Oh Vey!

Are they Jewish? I'm not Jewish, but I believe that blue & silver are the colors of Hanukkah. My "guess" is that they're using the blue lights to celebrate Hanukkah and that it's probably impossible to buy blue lights at the average Target, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.

FYI, last weekend my wife was baking cookies for some Jewish friends at work and she went to the grocery store to buy blue sprinkles (aka: jimmies, shots, etc.). Can you guess what happened? She found tons of red and green ones (and multicolored), but no blue. Hmmm. Sounds like an opportunity for blue-holiday-decorations.com :)
